Well well, my body has decided that is does not want to cooperate with my weight loss regime and has launched a full scale rebellion.
Why, you ask? I'll tell you why.
Menopause is a bitch.
It started innocently enough but after a total of 14 days of bouncing around from 139 and 138 lbs I knew that the enemy was digging in for the long haul and was not going to leave willingly.
I can assure you that the enemy's plan is not acceptable and I decided to launch a full scale counter strike.
On Friday I started a 5 day mini attack. Starting weight is 138.4
Saturday morning I dropped .4 lbs. Typical.
Then sometime in the night someone let the battle plan out and the enemy brought out the heavy reinforcements and on Sunday morning I had gained back my loss of .4lbs.
I was outraged. Who gains weight on an attack??
Apparently, I do!!
And before you ask the obvious, I will tell you that I was very strick and did not indulge in any dairy products nor did I cheat and I walked every single day outside in the miserable sauna for at least 45 minutes.
What does this mean?
The enemy is tough.
It means war and drastic measures.
I am tougher.
So I decided to retaliate with a pure White Day assault and reinforced it with the Green Tea battillion.
Mid Sunday morning I officially started with the White Day plan. I prepared for the next few days by boiling up a dozen eggs and tossed the yolks of course, baked chicken breasts for salad and soup, brought several lbs of Tilapia and Key West Pink Shrimp, made Turkey patties and froze them, purchased tinned Tuna and made gallons of green tea. I also made a fresh batch of Oat Bran Muffins.
Monday morning I dipped below Fridays start weight, by another .4lbs. My body prefers .4 as I see that a lot. No matter, I pressed on.
I knit and grazed on white food and drank green tea all through out the day as I processed endless mountains of laundry and did light housekeeping. After dinner I took a two mile walk.
So what did my body have to say Tuesday morning?
138.4! A stinking gain! Really???? It is unbelievable but true.
After a 4 day mini attack I was exactly where I was when I started.
On a good note I have not gained more and I have'nt seen 138.6 for six days so I suppose that is a teeny tiny victory.
I had originally planned that Tuesday would be a PP day but considering the stalemate, I went back to a PV. Throughout the day I thought about this rebellion and my response to the situation.
First and foremost.
The enemy must leave.
I will not stop until I reach my goal thought it might take me longer to arrive at there.
I am not defeated. A marginal loss is still a loss and it counts for something.
This rebellion will not last forever. Change is inevitable.
I formed a Battle Plan.
1. For the next few weeks on PP days, I will only eat White Proteins.
2. I will only drink Green tea, which I prefer. Dukan recommends 3 days straight. Then break with plain water for two days and repeat.
3. I walk 45 minutes a day, so I'm going to add T-Tapp Basic Workout Plus to my daily regime.
Wish me luck cause I'm going to need it.
Today's weigh in 139lbs!
I am right there with you these days - also doing PP only - I have done white days and green tea before too and didn't think it did anything! It is very frustrating - makes me start thinking about bailing on this Dukan thing. Good luck - hope we both have losses to report soon. I was down .6 today but I also am between 137-138.6 up and down up and down - my lowest was 135.8 but can't seem to get back there let alone lower.
