I started the Dukan Diet two months ago with two goals in mind.
The obvious reason is remove the 35 lbs that I have packed onto my body and the other to adopt a healthy eating style for life.
Somewhere along the way I forgot how eat properly and when my metabolism changed my eating habits did not.
I suffered the consequences.
Dr. Dukan warns that women with hormonal changes will not experience the same rapid weight removal that others do on his programme.
Of course I fall into that category. How lucky can I get.
I have accepted that fact and decided that I will not allow that to derail my efforts nor will I fall into despair.
In just 60 days my overall out look on life is improving tremendously, I enjoy my meals, I've dropped 9.2 lbs and the change is becoming noticiable to others.
Despite the fact that I only lost 3lbs this past month, the tape measure tells me that I've lost a half inch on my waist, a half inch on my abs and another half inch on my hips!
I choose to celebrate this accomplishment and will continue to apply the daily pressure of eating healthy, walking daily and drinking my water to my body.
In the meantime this is my mantra:
